Despite some reservations about being in crowds, the time constraints with a busy calendar and the fear of showing my paintings publicly for the first time, I went ahead and registered for some upcoming opportunities to show my work.
So if you are in the area and have the slightest interest in art or simply want to pop by and say hi there will be opportunities to do so at the following events:
Art Walk
Saturday, September 4th on Monroe Street in Stroudsburg, PA.
Pocono Arts Collage
Dunning Art Gallery, NCC-Monroe Campus, Tannersville
I'll only be there at the reception but I have one painting that was submitted and accepted for this show.
The Pocono Arts Collage is a group show held annually at NCCs Dunning Art Gallery and includes work by members of Pocono Arts Council, Pocono Photo Club, Pocono Watercolor Associates, and Pocono Mountain Arts Council. You are receiving this notice because you have indicated your desire to exhibit your work in public galleries. The council’s galleries committee will choose up to 15 pieces (only one piece per artist will be chosen for the show) to represent artist members of the Pocono Arts Council. Please note: priority will be given to our newest membersof the arts community in our region.
SHOW OPENS: Mon., Aug. 30 and hangs through end of December 2021. Gallery is open during the regular operating hours of NCC-Monroe Campus.
ARTIST’S RECEPTION: Thu., Sep. 30, 5-7pm
The Antoine Dutot Museum & Gallery En Plein Air Paint Out
I will be painting at various times on location within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, Cherry Valley National Wildlife Refuge and the Borough of Delware Water Gap during the period of September 1st to September 15th .
Works from this period will be viewable from September 17th through October 3rd. This will be a juried exhibition so my pieces may be accepted - I certainly hope so but if not there will be some great work shown on site no matter what!
